Our Services
Feed My Flock
We provide a weekly hot meal that begins with gathering our guests into a circle for prayer requests and an inspirational Christ centered message. Then our guests can sit together for the meal, then mingle afterward and experience community, fellowship, and relationship building. During this time there is networking for resources as well as guests and volunteers praying for each other. Sometimes there is live worship music during the meal provided by our local churches.
The Shepherd's Storehouse
We provide grocery staples and snacks, fresh produce, health, beauty, and household products. We aim to provide nutritionally balanced items, as well as a variety from week to week. We also provide specialty grocery bags for the homeless for their unique needs.
Lightshine Kids
Lightshine Kids is a program of purposeful games and activities that teach conflict resolution training, communication skills, teamwork, emotional regulation, acceptance, community, Jesus, and grace. Kids also receive individual and group prayer.
Lightshine Puppets
The Puppet Team meets every other week. Puppet play is a safe way for the kids to express their emotions. A few times a year they plan and perform a show at the Feed My Flock dinner. This offers an opportunity to be disciplined in practice and also gives a creative outlet and a platform to perform publicly.
Bright Shine Kids
Bright Shine Kids provides a space where students can seek help to keep them up to date on their school work and assists those who might be struggling. This is done in a fun, small group atmosphere and focuses not only on grades but also on healthy self esteem
Future Programs
Lightshine was founded in 2017 and immediately began serving in The Crossing Church parking lot prior to the congregation moving onto the campus. Over the course of the next year and half, we added a representative from the church and moved inside! During that time, we grew from 9 people at our first community meal to an average of 125 coming weekly. Through much prayer and practical planning we have seen significant engagement by volunteers and guests. We now have several volunteers arrive early to set up and guests helping to put tables and chairs away after our meals! It is not rare to find guests vacuuming or cleaning because they feel such a part of the community. Since our opening, we have added a pantry which went mobile during Covid to serve approximately 25 families weekly and we have now re-established our weekly meals with up to 150 people attending weekly.
Bible Studies

We anticipate offering varied Bible studies and classes utilizing area pastors or teachers. We are interested in hosting a Grief Share group, Celebrate Recovery, Open Heaven Ministries or other specific subject matter groups. We also have worship leaders who have reached out to come and do Praise and Worship nights .
Greater Cincinnati Behavioral Health

brings clients to our meals currently and is interested in conducting group and individual meetings in the future. Many of their clients live in the immediate area and often cannot make their appointments due to a lack of transportation. By offering a private meeting space we can serve the neighbors as well as welcome a wonderful community resource.
Drug and Alcohol Assessments

We plan to partner with Brightview Health Treatment Centers for drug and alcohol assessments and groups.
Shower and Laundry Facility
There is currently very limited availability in Clermont County for places our homeless can take a shower or wash clothes. The Lightshine Community Center will have two showers and a washer and dryer that can be used by our homeless neighbors.
The Ohio State University County Extension Agency

County Extension Agency has conducted classes in healthy cooking and nutrition and has agreed to run those classes with possible other life skills areas such as parenting, finances, healthy choices, etc.
Charitable Pharmacies

We are exploring potential partnerships with Charitable Pharmacies to add a pharmacy in the community center.
